HOME HELP

Practical help should feel respectful.

Sometimes the useful support is simply having someone reliable there to help keep on top of the home. The aim is to make everyday life easier — not to take over.

More than cleaning

Practical support can sit alongside companionship.

For some people, the useful answer isn't simply a cleaner. It may be a regular home-support visit that combines household tasks with a bit of conversation and practical help.

Regular visits

Weekly or fortnightly arrangements can be discussed.

Supportive approach

We work around the person and their home rather than treating the visit like a race against the clock.

Something different?

Tell us what you're struggling to keep on top of and we'll discuss whether we can help.

Not just cleaning

Sometimes the home help is only one part of what is needed.

If practical household tasks, companionship or getting out are also part of the picture, tell us. CareWithJohn can discuss whether a broader support arrangement makes more sense.

A useful distinction

Home help is practical support — not personal care.

The home help service focuses on household tasks and practical support. It does not currently include washing, dressing, toileting or other personal care.
